Chelsea earned a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion in their last Premier League game thanks to a controversial injury-time penalty. Referees chief Mike Riley apologised to the Baggies for the decision but blues boss Jose Mourinho believes that it could set a dangerous precedent, reports BBC News.
"I am curious to know if people see that as a normal situation, if now on it is going to be the same for everybody," he said. "Nobody called me to apologise that it wasn't a free-kick against West Brom for their second goal, or for a penalty against Everton.
"I am curious to know if Steve Bruce got a phone call, if Chris Hughton got a phone call, if Michael Laudrup got a phone call.
"For referees, if, hypothetically, they make a mistake, they are publicly exposed by their own boss."
