Chelsea boss Mourinho placed no extra pressure on us – Zouma

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has revealed that manager Jose Mourinho has not put any extra pressure on his players despite the Blues' poor start to the campaign.

Chelsea have endured an uncharacteristically poor start to their title defence and it was believed that Mourinho had demanded his players to claim a victory ahead of Saturday's clash with Arsenal.

The Blues went on to bet their London rivals 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and following the game, goalscorer Zouma has revealed that contrary to reports, Mourinho did not place any further pressure on the shoulders of his players.

Zouma said: "We don't have pressure in the dressing room. We know who we are and we just had some bad results since the beginning of the season, but now we showed who we really are and what we can do.

"The boss said before the game: 'Forget the table – play the game to win and to show them that they are going to lose.'"
