Chelsea boss Mourinho: No Real Madrid grudge. I hope they win

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists he holds no grudge against Real Madrid after this morning's defeat in Miami. The game was played at a decent pace for a preseason friendly as Real's players sought to put one over their former coach.

"I wish the best for Madrid, they have many people who I appreciate there, starting with the president and even the simplest employee. I have no problem saying I hope they win the league, I hope they win, I'm not there anymore, but they're going in the right direction, which is very good," said Mourinho.

The former Real coach reiterated the appreciation and respect he has for the Spanish club's president Florentino Perez.

"The president is a fantastic person, I respect him a lot, I have good relationship with all managers," said Mourinho.

MOU WATCH:

All eyes were on Mourinho during today's meeting with his former Real squad. Only Xabi Alonso and Fabio Coentrao from Real embraced Mourinho, though there were waves from the stands from president Florentino Perez and general manager Jose Angel Sanchez.

Mourinho did not greet any of Real's starting line-up. But he did help Sergio Ramos up after being grounded near the Blues dugout during the game.
