Chelsea boss Mourinho: No need to sell stars for FFP

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists he doesn't need to sell any of his stars to adhere to UEFA's draconian Financial Fair Play laws.

Chelsea have spent £27m on Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel this summer, but it will take at least another £50m to strengthen in all three positions and they have to bear Uefa's new rules over Financial Fair Play in mind.

Mourinho said: "No. The club is solid. The club is very well organised, the numbers are correct.

"We as a club want to follow the Financial Fair Play rules, but we are in a very stable situation.

"I like the squad, I like the profile. I like the fact we have a very young squad with three or four experienced players that are still in a fantastic moment of their career."
