Chelsea boss Mourinho: I never paid attention to winning streak over Arsenal’s Wenger

Jose Mourinho suggests he never paid attention to his dominant run over Arsene Wenger.

The Chelsea manager finally lost to the Frenchman for the first time in 14 encounters when Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday.

The streak was often described in the media as a massive advantage for Mourinho whenever the two managers meet but the Blues boss does not agree as each individual match serves its own purpose.

"I never had a psychological edge. It's not normal what happened before, and because it's not normal I never paid attention to that," said Mourinho.

"I always thought one game is one game and has no relation with other games. Thirteen matches is an eternity. It has never been a question of beating someone and losing to another one."
