Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has praised Atletico Madrid's campaign this season.

Mourinho admits he expected former club Real Madrid to be performing better.

"For Real Madrid, I was hoping they'd be much higher and have more of an advantage over Barca, who lost more points now than over the last three seasons.

"Atletico, with a lower budget, is doing a phenomenal job, with much merit. The competition has become a league of three."
