Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in hot water with BT Sport.

Mourinho has a contract with BT Sport, but appeared on Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday this week for an interview that ran 27 minutes.

Mourinho's rant has dominated the headlines and generated great publicity for Sky Sports.

The Telegraph reports BT has since closely examined its contract with the Portuguese to establish whether he was in breach of it by appearing on Goals on Sunday without the broadcaster's prior consent.

Representatives of Mourinho have told BT that he did not need approval for what was not a personal appearance but something carried out as part of his duties as manager of Chelsea, who own a certain percentage of his image rights.
