Chelsea boss Mourinho has no regrets over England job

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has no regrets missing out on the England job.

Mourinho was interviewed for the England post after leaving Chelsea in 2007, but is pleased he did not go into international management.

Asked what his plan for England would have been, Mourinho replied: "At that time my plan was just to try to motivate myself for a job that doesn't fulfil me.

"What do I do? During the day, I'm not training, so I have to go and see players train in their clubs.

"When the FA were speaking to me about it, the next match was France-England. I was, 'OK, France-England, France and so on'. After that, 'What's the next?'

"We had contact and I thought about England. I was very young and I was very proud. But I have the job I want now."
