Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has used the personal touch to step up negotiations for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. Higuain is being linked with a massive £48 million move to Chelsea in January - just six months after leaving Real Madrid for Napoli.

Il Mattino says Mourinho wants a reunion with his former Real striker and made contact with his father, Jorge, to discuss the prospect over the weekend.

However, the response from Higuain Snr was lukewarm at best, with Gonzalo enjoying life in Naples.
