Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic to splash the cash on Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann during the January transfer window.
Spanish publication Fichajes is reporting Mourinho is keen to renew his pursuit of the 24-year-old Frenchman, after failing in his attempts to lure Griezmann to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
It is understood the Portuguese manager has asked Abramovich to sanction a monster bid for Griezmann, which may go close to matching the club record £50million transfer fee Chelsea spent on Fernando Torres in 2011.
