Chelsea boss Hiddink still planning to use Falcao

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink says that he intends to use out-of-favour striker Radamel Falcao this season if he can prove his fitness.

The 29-year-old Colombian, who is recovering from a leg injury at the moment, has managed only one goal in nine league appearances for the Blues this season but could still play a part for the remainder of his loan spell.

"Falcao wants to play but he can't do it yet because he is unable to train. He is currently undergoing treatment," Hiddink told Direct TV Sport.

"I hope him to be ready at some point because in the Premier League we need all our strikers.

"He has had bad luck this season. He was training and suffered a setback.

"Then he started training again and suffered another setback. It has been an injury with many setbacks and that was not good for him."

The former Atletico Madrid star is expected to return to his parent club Monaco at the conclusion of the season.
