Chelsea boss Avram Grant has warned Andriy Shevchenko of his falling status at Stamford Bridge.

"Players who were big stars yesterday today are not necessarily such big stars," said Grant. "Andriy was very good before he got injury. It was a bad injury and it's not easy to recover.

"First I want him to feel good and recover. Then, maybe, you'll see him scoring goals for us in the big games we still have. All my players have to accept they are part of a squad. It's not easy for me to leave out big players from the squad but it's part of my job to leave them out and part of their job to accept it."
