Chelsea boss Avram Grant was delighted to see Scott Sinclair grab his first goal for the club in last night's Carling Cup victory at Hull City.

"Scotty I know very well because I like to see many games of the reserve team last year, like I watch many other teams, and don't forget that I have been here two months so I have seen him in the preparations since we were in Los Angeles," said Grant.

"We have three games each week so we need all our players as I think some of them cannot play three games in a week for the next two months. We have a big squad so it was an opportunity for other players to play 90 minutes because we will need everyone one of them in the future."
