Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo offers no apologies for his passionate celebration after their Champions League win over Napoli.

Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo offers no apologies for his passionate celebration after their Champions League win over Napoli.

The former Blues star wants to use the spirit of their Napoli fightback to inspire his players in the first leg in Portugal against Benfica.

Di Matteo said: “My celebrations after that Napoli game were very instinctive.

“They showed how much it means to me. I was so happy for the players. We have to remember the kind of feeling we had in that match.

“We were full of confidence and spirit. It was a good way to be able to turn that leg around.

“So we will be using that to motivate our players for Benfica. Every win you play gives you momentum. If we can keep winning games we will keep this positive momentum going with the team.

“The experience of some of our older players will help. These players won’t get flustered and will just express themselves at the highest of their ability.

“Once you reach this stage, though, whoever you play will be tough. There are no weak teams left in the quarter-finals.”
