Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo is chasing AZ Alkmaar midfielder Adam Maher.
The Daily Star Sunday says Maher is a target for Chelsea, Newcastle and Sunderland.
All three clubs had scouts watching the player when he starred for Holland Under-21s in their 4-1 European Championship qualifying victory over Austria earlier this month.
