Chelsea caretaker boss Roberto di Matteo has no regrets over his time at West Bromwich Albion.

Di Matteo was sacked last February by the Baggies.

"I thought I had a very successful time at West Brom," insists Di Matteo. "I got them promoted and we were never in the bottom three for the whole season apart from the first week, and there were two home games coming up against the bottom team and the second bottom team.

"As far as I am concerned I had a good time at West Brom and an enjoyable time as well, but this is football, I understand it. I don't come from the moon, I know how football works."
