Chelsea boss Conte sees rivals Tottenham as example of good practise

Antonio Conte believes Chelsea have to follow Tottenham's example to achieve long-term success, reports the London Evening Standard.

Conte suggests Spurs are in a stronger position than the Blues because Pochettino has assembled the group of players he wants and Chelsea have seen a number of veteran players depart in recent years.

He said: "I think they are doing a great job in this year, Pochettino is doing a great job. He has built a great base, foundation for his club. We must do the same, we don't have these bases.

"I have great respect for Tottenham, they are doing a great job. They are challenging for the title. I want to help my club to build the same solid foundation, we don't have this. We need time to work, to improve."
