Chelsea boss Conte says he won't keep Batshuayi against his will

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is prepared to release Michy Batshuayi on-loan this month.

Conte recognises the striker needs regular football to keep himself front of mind for Belgium coach Roberto Martinez's World Cup squad.

"Michy has played more minutes than last season," says Conte. "It is my job to make every player better.

"If club management asks me something about it, I will give my opinion. I can understand that a player is worried about his World Cup opportunities.

"Keeping the group happy is our first task. I prefer happy players than unfortunate players with a transfer in their heads."
