Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is prioritising a summer swoop for Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie.

Conte is concerned about his midfield options going into next season's Champions League return and has identified Kessie as a potential solution.

Calciomercato.com says Conte has informed Kessie's minders he wants a deal done - and is willing to kickoff the bidding at €30 million.

Roma are also in talks, but will struggle to match Chelsea's spending power should it develop into a straight auction.

For his part, Kessie insists he's not thinking beyond his commitment to Atalanta to the end of this season.
