Chelsea boss Conte 'not worried' about Alonso burnout

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists Marcos Alonso can go the entire season without the need for a break.

Chelsea are battling to agree a deal with Roma for Emerson Palmieri as competition for Alonso, but Conte insists the Spaniard can handle the workload if an agreement falls through.

Despite Chelsea's reliance on Alonso, Conte insists the Spaniard is "ready" and fit enough to play every game until the end of the season, saying: "I'm not worried.

"Last season we faced this situation in the same way. I'm not worried. He is ready to play and to play every game."
