Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to leave Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata to Manchester United.
Both Premier League giants have been chasing the wantaway Spain international.
However, the London Evening Standard says Chelsea will step up their interest in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku next month.
Conte has been monitoring Lukaku and Real Madrid star Morata ahead of a busy summer transfer window.
But the Blues have prioritised the Everton hitman as he counts as a home-grown player under rules set by the Premier League.
United are now ready to move for Morata, who was handed his Real debut by Jose Mourinho.
Morata has struggled for game time at Real under Zinedine Zidane.
The Spain international started just 14 La Liga games as Zidane's men won the title.
