Chelsea boss Antonio Conte feels his job is in jeopardy due to their failings in the transfer market.
The Times says Conte is furious with Chelsea chiefs for not landing his top targets.
The Blues manager wanted Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Sanchez and Alex Sandro last month.
However, Liverpool beat Chelsea to Van Dijk, with Manchester United swooping for Arsenal talisman Sanchez. Sandro, meanwhile, stayed at Juve with the Blues refusing to pay the club's £60m asking price.
Disagreements over target's ages are also a huge problem for Conte.
Moves for Fernando Llorente (32) and Edin Dzeko (31), have caused rifts between Chelsea chiefs and the manager.
