Chelsea boss blames 'dangerous' surface for Terry, Ramires injuries

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has slammed the playing surface at the Sammy Ofer Stadium following the Blues' 4-0 Champions League win over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday night.

Brazilian international Ramires was injured during Chelsea's training run at the stadium the night before the match, while captain John Terry was forced from the field on a stretcher after picking up a foot injury during the second half of the contest.

"The surface was bad and dangerous. Ramires slid and has a muscular injury. John has an ankle injury I think down to the pitch, and we don't know how bad yet," Mourinho said.

"The result was 1-0 when John left the pitch, so for John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he's in trouble."
