Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez has no idea what the future plans of club owner Roman Abramovich are.
He does not know whether Frank Lampard will be offered a new contract and cannot even guarantee that he will be around beyond today's vital home game against struggling Wigan.
With the pressure mounting from all sides, Benitez revealed: "I last spoke to the owner after the Arsenal game, 20 days ago, when we were doing really well and he was really happy. Since then I have had conversations with people close to him but not directly with him.
"No one is talking to the owner. And if you don't know what he thinks, you can't say that this or that will happen.
"I have seen 200 names in the Press to be the new manager but that doesn't matter. My contract is until the end of the season and, in terms of football, everything is fine.
"Do you understand my position? I am not here to change anything outside the pitch. I am here to improve the players and do my best every day.
"I cannot give you any answers about my future because I have to concentrate on the next game. We want to win and, of course, we want to be in the top four."
