John Obi Mikel remained on the Chelsea bench for yesterday's win over Swansea City.

Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez dismissed suggestions Obi Mikel was kept on the bench due to the race row with referee Mark Clattenburg.

Clattenburg was taking charge of a Chelsea match for the first time since he was cleared of using "inappropriate language" towards the midfielder.
