Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez is set to bench skipper John Terry for today's FA Cup tie at Manchester United. Terry is likely to have to accept sitting out another major game as Benitez makes a late decision on whether to play Chelsea's club captain in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Manchester United, says the Mail on Sunday.
Interim boss Benitez has used Terry carefully since a knee injury and wants him fit for the Premier League run-in, when finishing in the top four remains more important than retaining the FA Cup.
There are concerns that playing two games in four days - Chelsea face Steaua Bucharest on Thursday - may affect Terry, but he wants to play, sparking fresh speculation over his relationship with the boss.
