Chelsea boss AVB still bristling over Man Utd penalties

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is still bristling over the manner of their draw with Manchester United.

He is smarting over the two spot-kicks awarded to Alex Ferguson's team in last Sunday's 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Now he is demanding a change of rules to deal with players who con officials by going down too easily in the box.

He said: "For any team to get two penalties in a game is not very usual. For it to happen to the same team twice in a week is very unusual."

United, who have now been awarded 11 penalties this season, also scored both goals from the spot in their 2-0 win over Stoke.

Villas-Boas added: "Referees have pretty clear orders on simulation but it seems difficult for them to assess the difference between diving and fouls.

"So now we need to introduce a new rule for when the attacker purposely sticks his foot out and deliberately clips the leg of a defender to dive for a penalty.

"On the same weekend, we had two incidents of that happening with United's Danny Welbeck and Manchester City's Adam Johnson.

"There is a consistent pattern now of these incidents and it is very frustrating to concede a penalty like that. We have a new rule set out for two-footed tackles and now we need to have them for players who do this."
