Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas admits he wants to sign Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
Spurs are refusing to sell but the Blues have bid £27million for the Croatian midfielder and are expected to go to £30m with Yossi Benayoun thrown in.
AVB said: "Luka is a young player but there would be a sensible price for sure.
"It depends on the club's decision, if they are willing to go forward or not, up to which value and to decide whether they want to keep the interest in the player.
"It doesn't depend on me - it's not my money! But we have to take sensible decisions because we are speaking about a high amount."
