Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted his admiration for Diego Maradona.

Conte attended the Chelsea Pitch Owners dinner last week where he took part in a Q&A session.

Blues legend Pat Nevin put a number of tough questions to the Stamford Bridge boss - including who is his favourite player?

And the 47-year-old revealed he will always have a soft spot for former Napoli star Diego Maradona.

"I did promise to ask the some questions that readers of this column sent in last week," Nevin said.

"And I can confirm that Maradona was his favourite player - to play against and also the best.

"Zinedine Zidane got a special smile when I asked about team-mates but there were many more greats he wanted to mention."
