Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says Eduardo will be ready to step up should they sell Asmir Begovic.
Eduardo arrived at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season from Dinamo Zagreb and is yet to feature, but Conte has been pleased with a player who was part of the Portugal squad which won the European Championships last summer.
"Eduardo was a great buy for us," said Conte. "He arrived this season as third-choice goalkeeper and the positions in the team are very clear in my mind. I'm very happy for him because Eduardo is working very well and he's helping myself, Thibaut and Asmir a lot, as well as helping Gianluca Spinelli [goalkeeping coach] and Hilario in their work.
"I'm very pleased for his commitment and behaviour, he's a very good goalkeeper and he's doing well. Now, we have Courtois, Begovic and Eduardo. This is the situation for Sunday, and then we'll see."
