Carlo Ancelotti is pressing Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to move for Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.

With Jose Bosingwa set to be sold to Bayern Munich, Chelsea are ready to bid for Maicon as a direct replacement.

Chelsea also have made an offer for Portsmouth fullback Glen Johnson, though he is expected to choose Liverpool this week.
