Chelsea boss Ancelotti still working on Abramovich over Aguero deal
Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero wants a move to Chelsea.
The Daily Star says the £40m-rated Argentina striker wants to leave the La Liga strugglers in the summer but Atletico are desperate for cash.<>
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of the 21-year-old hotshot and would like to add him to the ranks in January, when Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are expected to be playing in the African Cup of Nations.
But a stumbling block could be Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s reluctance to stump up £40m plus around £30m in wages on a probable five-year deal.
The Russian is reluctant to splash out a British record fee despite Aguero scoring twice against the Blues in their Champions League clash.
A source close to Abramovich said recently: “Roman hasn’t decided yet on Aguero. It is an awful lot of money.”

i dont think Chelsea wld suffer much wen d nation cup starts. We ve got a lot of depth in d team. Buying Augero wld b a waste of money. He is a good player no doubt, but what wld happen to him wen Drogba & kalou come back? Dont 4get we have Anelka. I think we can manage witout them.
an interesting change to transfer policy :) although not altogether a bad change. Still, aguero would be a great buy for us
