Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says Harry Redknapp doesn't need extensive European experience to be a success with England.
Redknapp enjoyed a successful first Champions League campaign with Tottenham this season.
Ancelotti said: "I think it isn't a problem. I saw his team play, they play with good organisation. As a manger he has a very good relationship with the players, so he doesn't have a problem.
"It doesn't matter if he is English, Italian or Spanish, it doesn't matter. The first Italian national team manager with experience outside the federation was Arrigo Sacchi in the 1990s.
"Before, every manager of the national team worked always in the federation, with the youth team or Under 21s. Sacchi was the first and things changed quickly. Now the Italian team could have a foreign manager."
