Chelsea boss Ancelotti: Man Utd’s Rooney right now best in world
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti rates Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney as the best player in the world.
The former AC Milan coach has become an instant member of the Rooney fan club, even though the England international’s goals are preventing the Londoners from running away with the title. Ancelotti believes Rooney has taken over from Cristiano Ronaldo as the world’s No.1 player.
He said: “United are using Rooney very well in this moment. Every game he proves his quality. He’s a fantastic, fantastic player.
“I am surprised because he never drops, he always improves his performance.
“It’s a good thing not only for Manchester United, but also for the national team because to have Rooney in this condition is very important for England at the World Cup. Is he the best in the world at the moment? I think yes. At the moment he’s the most decisive player in the world.”

Comparing rooney, messi and ronaldo is stuipid as they are all very different players. Messi is the best dribbler, ronaldo is perhaps the most complete on all fronts and rooney is a bone fide one man war. So who will win player of the year this time? Might be one of them might not. Quite simply it is a world cup year and the world player of the year always comes from the winning country whether he deserves it or not.
And to the Barca fan you beat united last year mostly because united played poorly rather than barcelona being particularly good on the night. We played as badly as that against Fulham in the league in December and lost 3-0. As we only lost 2-0 to Barcelona by your logic that would mean Fulham are better than Barcelona. I don't think United will get as far as the final this time (and AC Milan are no pushovers) but I would never rule it out when a player like rooney is around. So go on and believe he is an inferior player but if you have a brain listen to the footballers and coaches. Ancelotti is just the lastest. Any of them will tell you how good a player is and all of them have respect and fear of rooney
You lot need a reality check and go watch the Barca v Manure match again where u were raped in public!! Any of you guys watching or heard about a player called MESSI!!! Well how would you as you'll busy fingerin rooney's chavy ass lol!!! How many goals has Rooney scored?? 23 in all competitions ok, Messi has 25 in all competitions and over 17 assists thus far, top scorer in spain and top assists too!! Watch Barca's match yest 9 men n still dominating possession!! Cant wait to meet Manure in the CL and teach you Rooney ***** suckers how to play football!! GET A LIFE AND LEARN THE GAME!!
