Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti was shocked to learn of his No2 Ray Wilkins' spectacular FA Cup goal in Manchester United's 1983 triumph.

Ancelotti was incredulous when informed that Wilkins had, in fact, scored a spectacular 25-yarder in the 1983 FA Cup final for Manchester United against Brighton.

"It's impossible that Ray scored a goal," said Ancelotti. "He scored in the final? That must be pre-history. Ii will have to check with him."

Ancelotti enjoyed seeing Wilkins in recent TV reruns of World Cup ties.

"I saw Ray playing against France at the 1982 World Cup finals," said Ancelotti. "Only it wasn't Ray, it was a brother because this one had hair!."
