Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has still not fully recovered after undergoing hernia surgery at the end of August and is yet to return to full training. Lampard was initially only expected to be out of action for a fortnight but his recovery is taking longer than expected.
Carlo Ancelotti told the Daily Mirror: "He has a weakness on his adductor, and we want to strengthen that to avoid a problem when he comes back to play.
"The surgery was very good. There's no problem there, but his adductor is weak. We want to avoid an injury."
