Chelsea's black armband mix-up has been blamed on their pre-match suits.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal were set to wear the armbands at Wembley on Saturday in remembrance of the people who lost their lives in the Manchester terror attack earlier this week.

While the Arsenal team did play the first 45 minutes of the game with black armbands on, the Chelsea team did not after special FA Cup jackets they were meant to wear were accidentally placed on top of the armbands in the changing room.

Due to the hot conditions in London, the Chelsea team decided not to walk out onto the Wembley pitch with the jackets on and, in doing so, also forgot to put the black armbands on.

However, Antonio Conte's squad donned the armbands for the second half after the club realised the mix-up.
