Chelsea are weighing up a January bid for Tottenham winger Giovani dos Santos.
Reports in Mexico claim Luiz Felipe Scolari is hoping to take advantage of Dos Santos's underwhelming start to Premier League life by tempting Spurs with an offer for the former Barcelona starlet.
The Mexican, 19, has made just three starts since his £4.7million move from the Catalan club in the summer and has not featured since Juande Ramos's final game in charge against Udinese.
And to add insult to injury, the forward - once heralded as the next Ronaldinho - is likely to find himself overtaken in the Spurs pecking order by 16-year-old John Bostock for Thursday night's home UEFA Cup tie against Dinamo Zagreb.
