Chelsea are becoming increasingly frustrated negotiating personal terms with Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill. The Blues have run out of patience with the defender after agreeing a £7million fee a fortnight ago.
Chelsea and Cahill will now try to close the deal on a contract that is set to run until 2017.
It was reported in the Mirror that Chelsea wanted a meeting on Wednesday, but this was thwarted - and Cahill spoke instead with Bolton manager Owen Coyle and chairman Phil Gartside.
Bolton are also keen for the sale to go through, with Wanderers wanting the funds for new players and hoping to avoid losing Cahill on a Bosman in the summer.
