Chelsea are battling Real Madrid for Flamengo youngster Douglas Baggio. The Daily Mail says the 17-year-old striker was top goalscorer at the recent Under 17 Copa Rio with his club Flamengo, a tournament watched closely by Europe's leading clubs.

Baggio had already caught the eye of the likes of Chelsea, AC Milan and Napoli, but now La Liga leaders Real have upped the ante with an approach.

Reports in Spain suggest Jose Mourinho will sanction a bid for the player as early as this summer, despite him having yet to make a professional appearance.
