The Croatia international is regarded highly by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who feels he can quickly settle into the Premier League.

La Nazione says Chelsea's interest has put Fiorentina under pressure, with Badelj's minders already indicating this will be his last season in Florence.

AC Milan are also in contact, but any move is dependent on the club's sale to Chinese interest.

Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa dropped Badelj for victory over Cagliari due to concerns that he'd become distracted by the increased transfer talk.
