Chelsea will allow manager Maurizio Sarri to decide the punishment for his assistant Marco Ianni.
Following Ross Barkley's injury time equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Manchester United, Ianni celebrated widely in front of Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho.
Ianni's actions prompted Mourinho to fly out of the dugout and a melee between both benches ensued.
Mourinho revealed that he had received an apology from Ianni and Sarri after the game.
Chelsea are said to be furious at Ianni's actions, but according to Sky Sports, will not override Sarri's punishment.
Ianni spent two years as assistant to Sarri at Napoli before moving to west London.
