Chelsea are ready to pounce for Ajax fullback Gregory van der Wiel.

The Holland international has agreed terms with Valencia for next season, but Los Che cannot meet Ajax's asking price and the deal appears to be off.

Chelsea, where transfers adviser Piet de Visser is a big fan of Van der Wiel, are now ready to swoop for the young Dutchman as a replacement for Jose Bosingwa, who is expected to be moved on this summer.
