Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle says playing in the Premier League has toughened him up.
Schurrle admits English football has taken some getting used to, yet is confident he can now make the difference when it counts.
He said: "I feel really good here. Even when I spent two months not playing as much, it was good for me because I learned a lot. I'm still learning, which is great, because I'm a young player who has come to another country.
"It was never going to be easy but I feel really good. I have friends here, I've got to know some really nice people and the club is amazing. I feel stronger than one year ago, that's for sure.
"Coming to Chelsea has changed me a lot. I am involved in a lot more duels - I have to use my body a lot more and I also make a lot of sliding tackles. In Germany I had this kind of duel maybe once a match. Here in England it is all the time - more like once a minute.
"You have to be strong all of the time. In Germany I was playing another kind of football so when I came here, I had to change. It's a process that takes time and I'm not finished yet."
