Chelsea remain clear favourites to land Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Talk of the Blues facing competition from AC Milan is wide of the mark, says Sky Italia.

Juve GM Beppe Marotta has called Leonardo in recent days as the Brazilian prepares to be named new sports director of Milan. However, it was only a congratulatory call and Leonardo expressed no interest in competing for Higuain's signature.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have settled personal terms with Higuain's camp and are now finalising a fee with Juve.

The striker is expected to leave for around €60m.
