Chelsea and Arsenal will monitor Thomas Muller's tense situation at Bayern Munich leading up to the winter market.

The Mirror says both clubs, along with Liverpool, asked about the Germany international during the summer transfer window.

Muller's situation at Bayern was uncertain at the start of the summer after an underwhelming campaign last season.

But the German champions were unwilling to sell.

Meanwhile, Muller has completed 90 minutes in only one of their four games so far this term.
