Miguel Veloso is now reluctant to skip out on Sporting Lisbon for a big-money move to the Premiership.
The £16million-rated midfielder, 22, wants to see out the remaining five years of his contract at Sporting Lisbon.
He said: "I had a chance to go to England but we could not close a deal."
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all expressed interest in Veloso this year.
