Chelsea are in contact with Barcelona superkid Abel Ruiz.

The Mirror says Spain under-17s striker Ruiz, 17, is regarded as one of the country's top prospects and has been playing in the under-17s World Cup.

Barcelona have been keen to renegotiate to stop him leaving on the cheap but the English clubs are aware of the situation.

Arsenal and Chelsea have sounded out Ruiz's representatives while Manchester City are also watching developments.

Ruiz has made it clear he wants to stay but has expressed fears that he may not get a first team chance at the Nou Camp.
