Chelsea have announced the signing of Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle, pending a medical. Schurrle is expected to move to Stamford Bridge for a fee of £18 million.

A statement on the Chelsea website confirmed the deal will go through subject to Schurrle passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

The 22-year-old will officially go down as the first signing of Jose Mourinho's second spell as manager.
