Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is launching a bumper bid for PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

The Sun says Chelsea have made an offer of £55million to PSG for the Italy midfielder.

However, Verratti, 24, has told PSG he wants to stay in Paris and will reject the Blues' offer in a bid to improve his current deal of £120,000 a week.

Former Italy manager Conte sees Verratti as a way to increase his creative options next season.

And PSG are willing to sell Verratti and that the player is still weighing up the possibility of a move to west London.
